Come Enjoy and Paddle America’s First Wild and Scenic River!

 Arkansas’s Buffalo River

 May 11th -May 18th
$880.00 Per Person

Come enjoy and paddle America’s first Wild and Scenic river!
Our plan is to paddle the entire 150 miles from Ponca to the confluence of the White River near Buffalo City.
We will avoid all the developed campsites and instead make our camps deep in the backcountry.
When we aren’t paddling we can take time to explore caves, waterfalls, go swimming, or just chill out in camp listening for elks and watching the river flow by.

Facts At A Glance

Level of Difficulty : the Buffalo river has numerous shoals that turn into rapids when the rains fall and the river rises.
Some experience is needed, however, being in good shape and comfortable in a canoe is far more important. Anyone not comfortable running a rapid will have the choice of portaging with the help of the entire group.
Trip Origination: Branson airport

What’s Included: First/Last nights hotel, all meals on the water, canoes, paddling gear, permits, all ground transportation, and guides.

Itinerary

Day 1 — We will all meet at the Branson Airport around 1:00 pm.
I will then shuttle everyone to our hotel in Jasper.
At dinner, we will go over the week’s itinerary, review how to pack a canoe
                Aanswer any questions.

Day 2 — Our outfitters will shuttle us, our canoes, and gear to our put-in at Ponca.
(Water levels will dictate if we need to put-in some place else).

Our journey begins here.

The rest of the week will find us paddling past places like Skull Rock, Loafers Glory, the Nars, Skull Bluff, and numerous old homesteads.
On our last day, we will make it to the confluence of the White River where our outfitters will pick us up and return us to our hotel in Jasper. The next morning I will drive everyone to the Branson Airport.

Meals and Accommodations
All meals on the water will be provided, prepared, and served to you by your guides. Expect the amazing.
Our first and last days lodging will be at a small family-owned hotel in the center of town.
The rest of the trip we will be primitive camping on the banks of the river.
